Sempolowska Secendary School consists of XVI Upper Secendary School and 53 Lower Secendary School.
XVI Upper Secendary School
There are four classes on each level of education (12 classes altogether). The education cycle covers three years.
All classes (I A, I B, IC, ID) are formed on the basis of the results of final examinations that take place in the lower secondary school. Additionally, in case of classes I A (extended French) and the bilingual I D the French test
results are taken into the consideration when recruiting students.
Class profiles:
- class I A (II A, III A) - with extended educational programme of French and Geography
- class I B (II B, III B) -with extended educational programme of English and Mathematics
- class I C (II C, III C) - with extended educational programme of French and History.
- class I D (II D, III D) - a bilingual class for Sempolowska Lower Secondary School leavers; it consists of two groups – one of them with extended educational programme of History, the other one with extended educational programme of Biology.
After the first year of education our students choose according to their interests one extra school subject that they learn in an extended version in so called inter-class groups involving students from different classes.
Similarly, French is taught in inter-class groups.
In classes where English is the second foreign language (A, C, D) students are offered 6 English lessons in a three years‘ cycle. This means they have two English lessons a week. In classes B where English is one of the extended school subjects students have 12 English lessons in a 3 years’ cycle (4 English lessons a week).
Students can also participate in free extracurricular classes in Latin and Russian.
53 Lower Secondary School
53 Lower Secondary School is a bilingual Polish-French school. The education cycle covers three years. There are two bilingual classes (G, H) on each level of education. The recruitment to the first classes takes place on the basis of the final primary school results and the predisposition test results.
Since September 2006 a new, district class F has existed. It was formed for students living nearby our school. The recruitment to the first district class takes place on the basis of the final primary school test results.
Students in bilingual classes are offered 9 French lessons a week in the first year of education, and 6 French lessons a week in the second and third year of education.
Sempolowska Secondary School offers in addition:
